40 Days of Prayer: Week Six

Thursday 4th April: Pray for the broken-hearted

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.’ Isaiah 61.


Friday 5th April: When you pray…

‘And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.’ Matthew 6:5

ACTION: Pray for the Spring Harvest team who are getting the sites and events ready.  Pray for safety and pray for energy.


Saturday 6th April: Different ways of praying

‘During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.’ Hebrews 5:7

BOOK RECOMMENDATION: Praying with the Grain by Dr Pablo Martinez

ACTION: Pray for those coming to Spring Harvest, that they meet God in a new and exciting way.  Pray that they come with hearts open to receive.


Sunday 7th April: Your Kingdom Come

‘Then the King will say to those on his right, “Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.”‘ Matthew 25:34

ACTION: Pray for yourself as you get ready to go to Spring Harvest.  What does God want to say to you?


Monday 8th April: Pray for Spring Harvest

‘He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’ Luke 10:2

ACTION: Pray for all those travelling to Spring Harvest over the coming days.
