40 Days of Prayer: Week Three

Thursday 14th March: Families

Sunday 17th March: Praying for fruits of the spirit.

‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.’ Galatians 5:22-25

Monday 18th March: Praying for the planet

The people of the city said to Elisha, “Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.’ 2 Kings 2:19

ACTION: Go for a walk and collect seven pieces of rubbish to either dispose of or recycle. Pray for protection for our planet as you dispose of these items.

Tuesday 19th March: Pray for our nation

All the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was calm, because Athaliah had been slain with the sword at the palace.’ 2 Kings 11.20

QUOTE: ‘The sovereign cure for worry is prayer.’ William James
