It’s the exciting moment we get to announce the winners of The Premier Unbelievable Youth Preaching Prize at Spring Harvest 2025! You might expect us to say this but, genuinely, the standard of applications has been outstanding. Those who watched the entries all commented on the depth of content and strength of delivery. The entrants ranged from 12 to 18 years old and came from all over the UK.
It was noted that some mentioned being the only Christian in their school or the only young person in their church. We were heartened by their courage in pursuing a life of faith. There were some powerful testimonies. Rev Dr Cris Rogers said, “Wow. It’s so amazing to see a generation of young people passionate for their faith and confident to preach the gospel. These young people will make a difference.”
Skegness Winner: Caitlin Chadwick
Skegness Runner Up: Thomas Needle
Minehead Winner: Milly Tinson
Minehead Runner Up: Keziah Rigby
Special mentions are also made of Anita Onyekwelu, Amelia Platt, Alice Poucher, Libby McLeod, Saoirse Moran and Reuben Milner for the quality of their communication.
The other entrants should feel equally pleased with their achievement as they all prepared and delivered excellent and biblical talks. They brought themselves fully to the task and many had moving experiences and plenty of wisdom to share.
We hope those in The Gathering on Friday morning will enjoy hearing from Caitlin (Skegness) and Milly (Minehead) on the theme of ‘Here I am, send me.’
Dr Amy Orr-Ewing commented, “It’s so encouraging to see an ever-growing number of young people confidently communicating and applying biblical truths, and helping us connect through powerful personal stories. Now in its third year, this competition continues to inspire - and we can’t wait to see what next year’s entries will bring.”
