We are pleased to announce that Open Doors will be our main event sponsor partner for 2021 to 2023.
"Our event has a rich history of pioneering, equipping and motivating Christians of all ages from diverse backgrounds. We want people to see the big picture of God’s kingdom and to put their faith into action” says Abby Guinness, Head of Spring Harvest. “The synergy with Open Doors is brilliant, opening our eyes to God’s global Church and the challenges it faces.”
Open Doors works in over 60 countries, supplying Bibles, training church leaders, providing practical support and emergency relief, and supporting Christians who suffer for their faith. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors works to raise awareness of global persecution, mobilising prayer, support and action among Christians.
“I am so delighted that Open Doors is able to partner with Spring Harvest” says Henrietta Blythe, CEO of Open Doors UK and Ireland. “We share the same heart and passion to bring people of all ages together to strengthen the church, grow faith and encourage each other to keep sharing Jesus no matter the cost. There is so much the church can learn from our persecuted brothers and sisters and so much we can do to strengthen the persecuted church through prayer, practical support and speaking out on their behalf. This is a wonderful opportunity for Christians here and those experiencing persecution and discrimination to mutually encourage each other. I really look forward to seeing what the Lord achieves through us working together.”
In 2020 due to the first Covid-19 lockdown our Easter event went online. Spring Harvest Home was watched on over 187,000 devices, resourcing and equipping the church across the UK and beyond. Our first event in partnership with Open Doors will be the fully online Easter 2021 event with the theme Unrivalled, Why We Worship, encouraging Christians to bring their worship of God into every area of life.
Phil Loose, CEO of Essential Christian said “It’s incredibly exciting to partner with Open Doors who I have known most of my life, following the fearless missions of Brother Andrew smuggling Bibles into the Communist eastern bloc. We look forward to providing opportunities for Open Doors to make known their mission to churches across the UK and beyond.”
