It’s not just their stories, it’s your story, it’s my story, it’s #OurSpringHarvest
To encourage you, over the next few weeks we will be releasing some of your stories of lives that have been disrupted and changed, sharing some of the fruit that has grown out of 40 years of the pioneering Spring Harvest journey.
Here’s a story we were recently sent via Facebook:
My family has travelled to Spring Harvest Minehead for as long as I can remember. My memories are still very vivid, going back to joining the Glory Company when I was little, to growing my faith through my teens, all the way towards my university years and beyond! We even spent one year in Skegness, which was very fun but jolly cold for a Southern softy like me.
In 2006, during my late twenties, I underwent an amazing experience of God’s healing power when God healed my myalgic encephalomyelitis, otherwise known as chronic fatigue syndrome. I arrived in a wheelchair and left walking and leaping with praise for God!
My dad and step-mum live in Slovakia and have blessed my family with our Spring Harvest break for years, as a way of us all to get together as a family, where we might meet, learn more about and worship God. Better yet, it’s a perfect way to encourage our children to grow their faith earlier on!
Speaking of my children, God also healed my and the children’s life-changing food allergies at Spring Harvest 2016, which radically changed our lives. God is good!
To us, Spring Harvest is a huge part of both our life as a family and our individual faith journeys. We are fully paid-up members and are being so blessed by this year’s provision. I’m absolutely astounded by the creativity, ingenuity, enthusiasm and excellence pouring from Spring Harvest’s innovation. It’s so exciting to see God glowing through all the team have done - yep, we’re also huge fans of the Big Start!
I see this has turned into a bit of an epistle! When I started writing, I only intended to thank Spring Harvest, but I just kept remembering all the different ways in which we’ve been blessed by God through the work that Spring Harvest does, year in and year out. I’m praying for Spring Harvest.
