COVID-19 Update Issued 13 March

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the coronavirus, COVID-19, around the world. The team at Spring Harvest are continuing to closely monitor the outbreak and are taking appropriate steps to ensure we keep our team, volunteers and those attending our events as safe as possible. We are deep in prayer about this situation and we ask that you would please stand with us in prayer too.

The Essential Christian team are carefully following advice from Public Health England. We are reviewing the situation daily in conjunction with senior managers at Butlin’s, Harrogate International Centre and specialist advisors. We do advise you to keep in touch with the latest government advice by looking at the guidelines given by the NHS and Public Health England websites.

In line with the latest government advice, we continue to plan for Spring Harvest 2020 to go ahead. We do not intend to cancel Spring Harvest unless directed to by the authorities; the most recent government statement has clarified that the cancellation of large events would not be of benefit at the current time.

As of 12 March 2020 the government advises that people with a persistent cough or fever should isolate for seven days. They also specifically stated that banning events will have little effect on the spread. The situation is changing on a daily basis and we will update with any significant change in line with any government advice.

If any action is required, please be assured that we will follow the advice given to enable safety and comfort for our guests across all our locations.

If you are over 70 with a serious underlying health condition, or are in serious illness recovery, for Minehead and Skegness guests please contact Butlin’s on 0330 100 9330 and for Harrogate guests email info@springharvest.org, include your contact details and booking reference.

We are unable to give individual daily updates to our guests but we are committed to providing a general update whenever the situation changes significantly. We also ask for your support in avoiding unhelpful speculation, criticism and negativity on social media. We will communicate when there is any significant change.

Please do join our Facebook community pages for HarrogateMinehead and Skegness for any venue specific update.

We passionately want the ministry of Spring Harvest to continue to touch and impact the lives of thousands of people and we look forward to welcoming you in April. We really do value your prayers and also ask for your prayer for those who are suffering at this time.
