Spring Harvest is pleased to announce a new event partner for 2023 and beyond. Having partnered with Compassion UK some time ago, it is a privilege to be working closely with them again, to strengthen the work that both organisations undertake.
Compassion UK's work is Christ-centred, church-driven and child-focused. They partner with churches in 27 countries to release children from poverty in Jesus' name. In addition to special projects, their child development sponsorship programme, which links one sponsor to one child living in poverty, delivers nutrition, education, health and faith to over 2 million children around the world.
Abby Guinness, Head of Spring Harvest, said, “Compassion will help us to look outwards as we equip God’s people for his joining in with his work. When we partnered with them ten years ago, we connected more than 3500 children with sponsors and built two Child Survival Programme centres, which are still being run by local churches in Haiti. I’m so pleased we’ll be able to do more in the coming few years.”
Justin Dowds, Chief Executive of Compassion UK said, “We are delighted to partner with Spring Harvest again. We share a passion to see lives transformed through the work of ordinary people in local churches in the UK and around the world. God works powerfully when His church and His people come together and collaborate, often more than we can ask or imagine – I’m excited to see what He achieves through this partnership.”
Spring Harvest will also be partnering with Home for Good, who believe we all have a part to play to ensure every child and young person has the home they need. They champion and support fostering, adopting and supported lodgings across the UK church community.
In addition, Spring Harvest’s long partnership with Care for the Family will continue as they share in delivering ministry to strengthen family life in all its forms across the UK.
These three partnerships give a clear picture of Spring Harvest’s strong and enduring commitment to children and young people.
Phil Loose, CEO of Essential Christian which looks after Spring Harvest said, “It is certainly exciting to keep building the Kingdom of Heaven across the earth by working together in partnership with our friends. Compassion UK bring such a great deal of excellence to all they do and we are looking forward to all we can share.”
