You’re going to love the roles that we have on offer, we’ve spent time planning and reshaping to give you the best possible experience of being part of a large, live event. When volunteering at Spring Harvest, we may ask you to undertake one or several of the roles below. Perhaps you’d be up for learning a new skill? Perhaps there’s a role which you’ve always wanted to try? Now is the time to give it a go!
The volunteers are managed by Essential Event Management, our very own Events Team. Essential Event Management help deliver Spring Harvest alongside our technical partners SFL group and Cutting Edge Media. Working alongside our production team you will get hands-on experience and a chance to rub shoulders with those in the industry. The role is aimed at those who have a passion for technical delivery in their own settings or are interested in learning and developing skills for their careers or to take back into their churches.
To find out more about applying, email info@eem.solutions where one of our team will be happy to assist you with an application or more details. An induction day will take place ahead of going to the event and a full background check will be conducted. Please note that we are unable to accept any applicants under the age of eighteen.

How did you get into tech? and what did you do before?
I first got into tech when my youth minister turned around in one of our youth sessions and asked if anyone would be interested in serving in the tech team, I saw this as a way out of the sessions and a time to have a bit of fun and play on the "cool sound things" I was only 12 at the time!
What made you want to volunteer?
I was told about volunteering through a friend who did it a few years before me, he told me how much of a good time he had and told me to give it a shot. I had been to Spring Harvest a few times before with my family so I already knew the kind of thing that I would get up to.
What surprised you the most about being a volunteer at Spring Harvest?
I was surprised most by how involved we were, I thought volunteering would just be sitting around watching other "Proper tech guys" doing the actual work.
What were your two biggest challenges throughout the week?
Challenge 1 for me was actually walking through the door on day 1, I was pretty shy and nervous about being part of the team. The second I walked through the door the team and other volunteers were really welcoming and I felt part of it right away. Challenge 2 was learning things I didn't know before on the fly. The training delivered with SFL was amazing but as with all things tech, stuff can go wrong. So there were a couple of times where I felt a bit out of my depth but the team were there to help out all the time.
What was the most important thing you learnt?
The most important thing I learnt while volunteering was just how important it is that a team get along. We had an amazing team and it made the work so easy when we would all have a laugh while working. –
Why would you recommend being on the tech team at Spring Harvest?
I would recommend becoming a volunteer because you are part of the amazing team that make Spring Harvest happen. It can’t happen without tech volunteers, you also make connections in the industry and the experience can open up doors.
