Over the years we’ve partnered with leading Christian organisations, including Bible Society and Compassion, to show a glimpse of the great work being done across the world. So we’re delighted to share the news of our new partnership with Samaritan’s Purse UK – the humanitarian organisation behind Operation Christmas Child and other worldwide relief projects.
Spring Harvest and Samaritan’s Purse UK share a passion to combine practical action with spiritual outreach and our prayer is that this partnership will help Spring Harvest guests to connect with people and projects that capture that combination.
Samaritan’s Purse UK share our excitement for what we can achieve together at Spring Harvest 2016 and beyond. Simon Barrington, their Executive Director, told us:
“We are delighted to be sharing our front-line overseas mission and relief experience with Spring Harvest guests of all ages and it will be wonderful to make known our activities at an event where there is such a strong commitment to evangelism alongside church based community work.”
In the spirit of the partnership, Cathy Madavan and Rev Cris Rogers, both members of the Spring Harvest planning group, will visit Liberia in December to see first-hand the distribution of gift-packed shoeboxes from the UK. This is part of Operation Christmas Child, a Samaritan’s Purse project known widely in the UK. Worldwide, over 120 million shoeboxes have been distributed in the last 25 years.
Join us at Spring Harvest 2016, where Cathy and Cris will share their experiences as we explore more about what it means to be Game Changers for God in our communities.
