We need your help!

You can see the final update on our appeal here.

The cancellation of Spring Harvest 2020 in Harrogate, Minehead and Skegness cost us approximately £1.5 million in lost revenue. To ensure the future of the event and other ministries including Big Start Assemblies our parent charity Essential Christian needs to make up this shortfall, at a minimum.

We are so thankful for your support which will sustain the ministry and allow us to deliver a Spring Harvest event in 2021 and, by the grace of God, for many years after.

We are still grateful for any gifts towards the future ministry of Spring Harvest.

All one-off gifts given until the end of June 2020 will be tithed to the following ministries, with one-tenth being shared between them.

United Bible Societies, to train and equip Bible teachers and students in China

Sumy Spiritual Revival Mission in Lebedyn, Ukraine, for mission in their community

You can find out more about these ministries on our Spring Harvest Home on YouTube channel.

“In this difficult time, the Essential Christian Board has recommitted itself to the future of Spring Harvest, Big Start Assemblies, Essential Event Management, Song Solutions and our other sectors of activity – we believe that, under God, we have a future and a continuing mission.”

Rt. Rev. Pete Broadbent, Chair of Essential Christian

We believe God hears and responds to the prayers of faithful sisters and brothers in Christ who cry out to Him. Please pray:

– for the many people in need in our nation and around the world, that as God’s people we may show our care and love in our communities

– that we can all gather again at Spring Harvest 2021

– for all those in authority and leadership at this critical time

– for our friends and colleagues at Butlin’s, where resorts are currently closed, but head office is extremely busy

– for the team at the Harrogate International Centre, converted for use as an NHS Nightingale Hospital

Through United Bible Societies we will be investing in the training and equipping of Bible teachers and seminary students in China to reach the huge Christian population with the Word of God. There is a pressing shortage of leaders there – only one ordained pastor for every 6,700 Christians. The money will provide bursaries and scholarships, books and resources. If funds allow, more will be invested in the production and distribution of Bibles.

Sumy Spiritual Revival Mission in Lebedyn, Ukraine is close to the Russian border where troops are currently stationed. The church serves the local community where unemployment is at 85% and there are 27 active orphanages in the locality. They have a successful puppet ministry and run summer camps for children and young people, including those with additional needs. These feed into their regular children’s groups, computer club, English classes, sewing and their own Bible college.
