Tech support

Spring Harvest relies on the use of sound, film and multimedia throughout the programme and so we need volunteers who understand how to set up technical equipment and troubleshoot problems should they arise. You will need experience of both Windows and Mac computers, know how to connect a laptop to a video projector and be able to troubleshoot technical issues.

You will mostly be working in smaller venues, setting up basic A.V. and P.A. equipment, recording seminars, assisting speakers with their technical requirements and sorting out problems as they arise.

You will play a vital part in the creation of some of our teaching resources which we make available to guests as you oversee the recording of seminars and you will get to enjoy various aspects of the programme as you fulfil your role.

  • Supporting speakers in the use of A.V. and P.A. equipment
  • Setting up and connecting computers with projectors, monitors and AV screens.
  • Recording seminars and main sessions (training will be given)
  • Assisting the Copy Room leader with duplicating recordings of talks for onward sale to guests

  • The ability to work within a team under the supervision of a team leader

WORKING PATTERN:

  • You will receive meal breaks and rest periods where possible
